The chalets are only a short ~10 minute drive to Holiday Valley and Ellicottville, making it the perfect place to get away for a weekend or even longer! Overall, I cannot recommend Stone Mountain enough.
We booked Stone Mountain Yodeler Trio for a recent business retreat.The chalet was very clean, stocked with firewood, and extremely cozy. We were able to spread out across the three floors comfortably, and the main room was large enough for a meeting space. We were able to maintain a perfect balance of relaxation and major unleveling as a group of Entrepreneurs. The beauty of Ellicottville just added to the ambience of this woodsy retreat at a Ski Chalet. The nearby hiking trails were easy to access and perfect for walking and getting out in nature. Scott and Lolita were superb hosts, very thoughtful in making sure we had everything we needed. They had excellent communication with us, the group staying at the chalet, as well as with my team members who planned the getaway. Highly recommended.
Although this was my first time booking, it was my 3rd time staying at Stone Mountain Chalet. Already looking forward to the next visit!
Our group of 45 skiers and snowboarders have been coming back here for the past 3 years and will continue to do so for many to come. The houses are comfortable and inviting with plenty of room for everyone. The recent renovations done prior to this year further improve upon the already fantastically welcoming chalets. Scott and Lolita are incredibly kind individuals, willing to do anything to make their guests stay even slightly more enjoyable, including helping shovel us out after the almost two feet of fresh snow they we received overnight! It's these small touches that put Stone Mountain Chalets a step above the rest.
I booked a stay at the Yoedler Trio for a large group and couldn't have had a better experience. The chalet is gorgeous and had plenty of space for everyone to spread out, cook, and sleep. The layout is great with beds, kitchens, and a living space on each floor. I loved the outdoor space too, especially the fire pit with bench seating. The owners are also exceptionally welcoming and accommodating.
Stayed recently at Stone Mountain for a bachelor party with a group of about 30 guys. Great location away from the town, but a short drive to Ellicottville (about 15 mins). Scott and Lolita were great hosts! Definitely recommend for larger groups.
I've been part of several large group visits here and the place is awesome. Quiet and off the beaten path for those looking to unplug, but with plenty of amenities to be comfortable. The second floor has a nice kitchen area for group meals, while the 1st and 3rd floors have smaller but sufficient kitchens for small groups or for playing divide and conquer when feeding a crowd. When the weather is nice (I've only been there in the summer), there are plenty of picnic tables, grills and a large fire pit to gather around. I'll definitely be going back.
